Collector's legs are wonky AF but overall I think the drawing turned out pretty good, look in comments

Today was the day...

The rift would finally open, and release all of the monsters within...

Collector and Astra were preparing to attack the rift, and hopefully seal it, but there were some interruptions.

Collector: Astra! It's time to go!

Astra (from another room): just give me a minute!

Collector (to himself): what could be so important to delay this?

Collector quietly walked to Astra's room, and he saw her at her desk folding an origami crane, but was having trouble.

Collector: need help?

Astra: this... Was supposed to be a surprise...

Collector: just fold those edges inward, do a couple inside reverse folds, and then adjust the wings, neck, and tail as needed.

Astra nodded and repeated the steps she was given, then the crane was finished

Collector: so why was this so important?

Astra: I was gonna give it to you for good luck!

Astra puts it in his hand

Collector: *looks at the crane* In Japanese culture there's actually a legend about these, if you fold a thousand of them you might get a wish

Astra: interesting

Collector puts the crane in his pocket as little Timmy (egg-bot) climbed on Astra's shoulder

Collector: Timmy is gonna have to stay here

Astra: why???

Collector: it's for his safety.

Astra takes him off her shoulder and puts him on the desk

Collector: are you ready to go?

Astra: yeah.

Collector opens a blue portal

Collector: let's go.

They walk through to see several armies prepared for an all out attack on the rift, two figures engulfed in red flame are seen flying above them.

Astra: guess we aren't alone

Inkmatas flies over to the cliff they were standing on

Inkmatas: collector! I almost thought you weren't gonna show up!

Collector: there was a little interruption.

He pulls the crane out of his pocket

Inkmatas: AWW!!! Did Astra make that?

Collector: she's still learning

Astra: *embarrassed*

Inkmatas: anyway, you should probably get into position. The rift is about to open.

Inkmatas flies back to Calamitas, who was also flying above the battlefield.

Collector: I probably could've planned this better.

Astra: wait- what?

Collector: my only plan was "seal the rift" but what are we supposed to do about anything that actually gets through?

Astra morphs her arm into a cannon

Collector: ... better than nothing. Anyway, I'm gonna scan the rift to see how I can seal it. If anything gets close to us shoot to kill.

Astra nods as she puts on her mask

Within just a few minutes the rift opened, and collector was finally able to figure out what he was dealing with. But what he found was... Confusing.

Collector: somehow it contains a small amount of energy from both the crystal of creation, and Mr. Void... But that's impossible. The two energies cannot interact without explosive effects... Unless...

Several strange creatures began climbing the cliff, Astra jumped down to deal with them.

Collector: ... Unless there's something interfering with them... Computer! Open all files on x03!

Several corrupted files with barely readable text popped up on collector's heads up display, the text slowly became more visible as he manipulated the files, his eyes widened as he finally figured out what x03 actually is

Suddenly a large creature snuck up behind him and knocked him off the cliff, he stopped himself mid-air and began firing at it, but nothing was getting through it's armor. Astra saw collector above her and flew up to distract it, collector pulled out the sword of creation and sliced the creature in half

Astra: what the f[error] are these things!?

Collector: language!!!

Astra: sorry...

Collector: x03 made these things, and the rift. And I finally figured out where he came from-

x03: y0u h4v3 a lot of n3rve lo0k1ng at those fil3s.

Collector turned around to see x03 behind him, with several more of the large creatures with him

x03: there'2 a r3as0n those f1les were c0rrup1ed

Collector: and you thought I wouldn't fix them?

x03: ... 1 just d1dnt think y0u w0uld t4k3 th1s l0ng.

Suddenly the two large creatures charged at the Collector, but he sliced them both in half with one swing of his sword

x03: 4nd 1 th0ught you 4lr3ady kn3w what h3 really w4s

Collector: I knew something was off about void, but I didn't know YOU were connected to it.

Astra: wait, who's void?

Collector: the embodiment of destruction, opposite to me, the embodiment of creation.

x03: s0 cl0s3 t0 th3 4nsw3r yet y0u st1ll d0n't fully und3rst4nd

Collector: I understand well enough.

Collector attempted to hit x03 with the sword of creation, but he teleported away before he could get close enough

Collector: we have to close the rift! NOW!

Astra: but how!?

A white and red jet flies over the battlefield carrying a missile filled with purple fluid, it's launches into the rift and enemies stop emerging from it, that bought a bit of time for the collector to close the rift

Collector: that's how. Go help inkmatas, I'll close the rift. And just in case...

Collector hands Astra the origami crane

Collector: hold onto this.

He enters his 100% form and flies toward the rift before Astra can say anything, all she could do is what he just said.

The collector flew over the battlefield straight towards the rift, he blasted it with blue energy which seemed to bring the edges closer together, but not enough to close it.

He attempted to grab the edges by extending his limbs, and was barely able to grab the edges

Using his full strength he was pulling the rift closed, but the purple fluid from the missile was working against him. The more he closed it the more the force of the explosion was pushing back.

Soon the collector lost his grip on the edge of the rift, and was pushed back to the cliff

Meanwhile Astra was defeating hordes of monsters, while inkmatas and Calamitas fired inkstone and brimestone from above. Xander was also fighting using the muramasa

Xander: THERE'S TOO MANY OF THEM!

Astra: don't worry! That missile stopped them from coming out! We have more time!

Collector was trying to make another plan to close the rift, but x03 came back

x03: y0u s33m to be h4v1ng tr0ubl3, 4s 3xpect3d

Collector: get out of my sight. In this form you won't get away, not before I cut you into 20 pieces.

x03: you r3ally th1nk y0u c4n do th4t?

Collector morphs his arm into a blade

Collector: without. Hesitation. I will not tolerate your mind games.

x03: 1f th4t's what y0u th1nk th3y 4r3...

He teleports away

Collector looked down and saw everyone was still overrun with the monsters that got through before the missile was launched into the rift.

He went back into his regular form to save his energy and flew over the battlefield, destroying entire hordes of enemies as he flew over them

He eventually stopped where the jet landed, to see a small team fighting one of the larger monsters.

He took care of it one slash.

Candystripe: didn't expect to see you here!

Collector: well, things are looking bad and I need your help. Do you have any more of that purple stuff?

Candystripe: the kryblon? can't you just make more? You do have the crystal of creation.

Collector: it's easier to make stuff when I have access to some of what I'm creating. If I had even a drop of this "kryblon" stuff I could easily make another missile to delay the enemies long enough to close the rift.

Candystripe: well... I might know a place...
