Wrong. You are not giving a controlled situation as an argument. Those are not examples of "doing the same thing over". The variables are not controlled. If your variables are not controlled, your data is useless. Your attempt at making a language argument shows you have no understanding of science, which is probably reflected in your grades.

There's not much to discuss because his position defeats itself. Either his assertion about uncontrolled variables is applicable, in which case the first definition is invalid and therefore needn't be refuted in the first place, or else his assertion is inapplicable and I'm left with the uphill battle of trying to teach remedial logic to a petulant halfwit. I could take him to school but it's neither my responsibility nor worth my time to pick up where his teachers failed, and that assumes he'd listen if I did. Besides, I've dealt with people suffering from shades of insanity before and it was time that would have been better spent staring at a wall.

I'll give him credit for one thing though: I've never seen so many logical fallacies packed into one comment. It's almost like he was trying...almost. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon's_razor

If repeatedly performing the same action doesn't count as doing the same thing over and over then the definition I indicted is incoherent from the start. What else you got?
