Especially if you are a convicted sex offender
If you were ever convicted in another state for such offense and discharge and did your time you can't even be full-time resident in Florida because of the state law

Oh, you're going to need to provide the state law that prohibits sex offenders who have completed their jail sentences from establishing residences in Florida.

Because the laws I've found on a google search just now say that they have to report to a local sheriff's office within 48 hours regardless if it's a temporary or permanent residence.

Yes you must report to your local police or highway patrol or any local law enforcement to report your movement to Florida once you get to Florida you have to report down there in that state same way but to be a Florida resident outside of the state the state law of Florida States that it is unlawful for one who is convicted of it sex offense in another state to be a permanent resident in the state of Florida

Report within 48 hours, yes. The laws I have seen said temporary or permanent residence.

But you'll need to find that source Florida law. Because I have done google searches for it, and have been unable to find it.

Yeah I'm not sure under what section of the Florida legal code that's under but that's what they're saying by my family that live down there

Yeah, I think your family doesn't know what's up.

Here's an extensive breakdown of Florida sex offender laws: https://screenandreveal.com/florida-sex-offender-laws/

They talk about frequency of reporting, requirement to report travel plans, and even sex offenders that come in from out of state. And they are required to report within 48 hours if they will be there longer than 3 days. They can't move near a school (but don't have to move if a school is built near them).

But that's it. Nothing about not being able to move there.

I hate to disagree with you on this law but that's really discrimination in one form of another if you think about it
