What Finlayson is forgetting, is that, if he keeps saying that erotic content is enough for an NSFW filter that involves no age verification whatsoever, then he can bring Imgflip into serious trouble.
Erotic content (not necessarily pornographic, but still meant to arouse the user) is classified as 18+, so if Imgflip does not provide an age verification process for the NSFW filter, Imgflip can be taken to court, as websites involving adult content are required to prevent children (0-17) from accessing the site. Simply allowing them to view it, with a press of a button, does not protect Imgflip from legal action, and he is not helping it. Not to mention that advertisers will be inclined to boycott Imgflip, freezing Imgflip's revenue stream.
