In his case the only value of subjecting him to "punishment," would be to have him see the "error of his ways." That would require creating a schism between him and his parents over politcal philosophies. That should not be a role of government. In that he did not commit violence or cause major destruction, justice would be better served by telling him to be cautious about "blind followership," and drop all charges. The only hope for him is that maturity increases good judgement.
