There is a pretty big difference between learning causes and treatment techniques for abdominal pain vs being told by every teacher in the program how the GOP is full of evil whites, red states encourage black lynching, and Trump is satan incarnate.
She is a hispanic female from a small, very poor Mexican village BTW. And frequently complains she has seen extemely incompetent students kept in the program due to being minorites like her. And when she has challenged faculty about the fact you need to earn the right to be a doctor, not have skin of a certain color, she was told how proud she should be for representing her culture in the medical field. She has told them she had no interest in representing any culture. She just wants to be a doctor and help people. And also told them its time to stop preaching that white people only do things for money while all hispanics, asians, and blacks do things to promote equality, heritage, dignity, and culture. She is becoming a doctor to also earn a great income like anyone else. Yet she was told she does not understand.
She is the poorest student from the poorest family in the program. She got a free ride, which is the only reason she tolerates being in Massachusetts. But she regularly complains how ironic it is for trust fund babies to tell her what she is and isn't allowed to believe and what should or shouldn't offend her.
