Failing Schools

Public schools (taxpayer funded) schools are passing 40% english and simple math illerterate students. How are teachers not being fired for incompet....oh, teacher unions. n/m

Some schools are worse. Baltimore for example. School vouchers and competitions I think would help. Yes, it seems politics keeps people from being held accountable for their incompetence, but good teachers have a hard time teaching with all the crazy policies.

The down hill slide began when Pres Carter created the Dept of Education. It’s time to get the teacher unions out of policy making. Parents, not educators, need to be elected to local school boards and teacher unions should be removed at the federal level. Liberal education policies are a failure.

I have thought that education should be run more on a local level. I suppose there are some problems with this. Some communities need more resources. It's not simple. But, it is clear that the current liberal education policies are a failure. Dept. of Ed. has done little good as far as I know.
