Thomas the Tank Engine was originally a series of books called The Railway Series created by Anglican Clergyman Reverend Wilbert Awdry. A lot of people are boycotting Harry Potter over J.K. Rowling's remarks on transpeople but Reverend Wilbert Awdry was probably even more anti-LGBT than J.K. Rowling. Not much was known about his views on LGBT issues but given the fact he was a Christian pastor in the mid 20th century, he probably didn't even take kindly to cis gay men, nevermind transpeople.
