I'm going to say use and RAM. I loved high old school workstation PC's you could edit the game, or play on low settings. I really enjoy that mid-range PC have hung in. Really, that mid range PC has always been a game modding machine. Mid range with high not extreme game settings, and a week of compiling the mod.
120GB SSD for Netflix, low ram, and high page.
1TB, some good GPU dedicated RAM, physical page for CPU throughput; mountain dew breaks between levels or pie charts.
