General Soleimani coordinated the routing of ISIL from Iraq using Iraqi Shiite, Kurdish Peshmerga, and Iranian Quds Forces (the largest foreign fighter contingent in both Iraq and Syria), as well as Kurds & Quds in Syria. That's why he was in Iraq when he was assasinated for no reason.
