Calling attention to troll alts comes under a certain value called common sense. Encouraging (advertising) trolls, is a detriment to civilized society, as the rule now makes clear. Not that hard to understand, if you ask me.

As a mod, you're supposed to make life easier for every other user on your stream. Good thought.
But when deciding to take moderation action, never say you're doing it because "it's right", always and only cite the Imgflip ToS and then the stream rules.
It's good practice.

When you said you asked for shipping to stop, it would usually be taken to mean you asked for a user to stop commenting or posting about the "ship."

As a mod, you have a responsibility to disapprove posts calling attention to troll alts.

Ok. The issue was that I wasn't allowed to ask. Not that I was asking over and over. And as a mod I have a responsibility to also prevent a troll alt situation making someone uncomfortable by insisting it stops.
