If you want to know if government is serious about reparations then demand the 40 acres instead of the money.

Money and land will not change a thing, what American blacks really need is to stop pretending they are not responsible for many of their own problems. Reparations is really just a cry for white American to save them.

Here, uh, have 40 acres of Sovereign Native American Land that England bought
in exchange for a handful of glass beads, Beaver Pelts, or something.

Interesting thing is that the majority of settlers just wanted to live in peace with their new neighbors. . .but even then government had to government.

Of course one would rather go about civilized, peaceful profiteering on abundant natural resources.
Fighting with your neighbors keeps one from working for the company & personal gains.
