Modern culture and media doesn't help. They're taught to have high standards for feminist empowerment when all it does is leave them lonely.
Likewise more and more men are either becoming unfathomably desperate, or turning away from women entirely because of this concept. It's not about love anymore, it's about benefit. Women benefit from gain, men benefit from companionship.
I'm not rich, I'm not a genius, and I don't have the face of an Abercrombie model, but I know how to love. Unfortunately, no woman ever gave me the chance. I have nothing to compete with against other suitors out there.
