So by your logic, the gays are oppressed even though they are able to date whoever they want, get married, adopt children, attend street parties full of public nudity in the entire month of June that's dedicated but they are oppressed just because a few people said mean things about them even though those few homophobes are a fringe minority who don't have any say in gay's rights, they get an immense amount of backlash from all of society for even saying something a gay person disagrees with and the gays have their rights protected by the law.
