According to a 2020 report by the NFPA, households with electric stoves reported fires at a rate 2.6 times higher than those with gas stoves. Equally staggering, the death rate of electric-run households was 3.4 times higher than those with gas appliances — and the injury rate was nearly five times greater.

As usual, there's no valid health or safety concern behind the democrats' bullshit.

I don't remember if I've shared this with you specifically, but here goes...

December 2021 one of Colorado's biggest wildfires wiped out over a thousand homes in one of the bluest sections of this blue state. Most homeowners THOUGHT that they had enough insurance to rebuild only to find out that if they did rebuild they could have no gas appliances, water heater, furnace, fireplace, etc. at all, the home had to be 100% electric. On top of that, whether or not they had an electric car they had to build an electric charging station into the home as well.

You did tell me about that. And I had it mind when I made this meme.

The question is: in how many jurisdictions are gas stoves banned already? Democrats keep their craziest shenanigans on the down-low, so we may never know.

Yeah that was a horror story too - we've got Xcel unfortunately but we're not on that plan, thank God. My wife would have gone ballistic.

What they are going to do is put us on a three tier rate system where the highest rate is from like noon - 6:00 pm, second highest is 6:00 am to noon, and the lowest rate is 6:00 pm to 6:00 am all in an attempt to get people to run their AC less and do laundry and run the dishwasher when the demand is lower (or just a scheme to make more money).
