I saw your note about Trump basically inviting appearance-mockery of himself by resorting to it so often himself. Karma, basically. Sound reasoning.
My own view is a little broader than that, I see no reason not to apply that same logic to the political Spawn of Trump who have wrapped their arms around Trump at every opportunity and traffic in the same kind of Trumpian ad hominems and derision themselves. That includes MTG, Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, and some of the other obnoxious MAGA frequent-fliers.
That said, Republicans who have taken some kind of significant stand against Trump in their careers (the Romneys, McCains, and Cheneys of the world), I wouldn’t feature crap that mocks their appearances. In spite of other political disagreements I may have with them, they’re serious people and they’ve managed to show the bare minimum of integrity as public servants.
