Land Ownership Decentralization

Taxing land ownership, is also one of the ways to eliminate private property. Like income tax, is a way to penalize productivity.

So, taxing wages and income eliminates private ownership of one's body? And taxing commerce eliminates private ownership of one's business?

Also, individuals don't produce location values, only improvement values. Location values are created by natural opportunity, community activity and government protection and infrastructure.

Land ownership will continue to become more and more centralized as long as it is profitable to own land as a value investment. And land speculation produces no products or services.

Taxing gasoline, encourages people to try to use less gasoline.
Taxing cigarettes, encourages people to smoke less.
Taxing carbon, encourages people to try to burn less carbon fuels.
Parking tickets, encourages people to pay for parking.
Fines for not getting a building permit, encourages people to file for building permits.
Increasing license fees for people with speeding and other moving violations, encourages people to follow the rules while driving.
Jailing for fining people for committing a crime, discourages crime.

Reward what you want more of.
Fine or tax what you want less of.

Pretty simple concept.

People don't innately have immoral value systems, the tax system which punishes creativity and rewards waste and crime forces us into bad behavior. We don't need to be controlled, but freed from financial slavery. Authoritarians train us to blame human nature, to blame ourselves and each other, instead of corrupt government, for social problems.

People will never behave correctly until we are allowed. We are not the problem, the backward incentives created by the tax system are the problem. Government punishes good behavior (creativity and wealth production) and rewards bad behavior (land hoarding and crime). Then, they teach us the reason we commit crime and profit off others' desperation for jobs is that something is wrong with human nature. Authoritarianism, not individual freedom, is the source of social problems.
