"So, where did this whole “ban gas stoves” thing start, anyway? Well, one very astute conservative put the pieces together and discovered that it basically started at WEF… where else, right?

Turns out, the company that wrote the article that got every one so heated up is a close partner with WEF. The name of the company is RMI and they’re located in Boulder, Colorado… of course.

Who is RMI? Well, if you ask them they’re an independent, non-partisan, nonprofit organization of experts across disciplines working to accelerate the clean energy transition and improve lives. But of course, that’s not the reality of the situation.

They are indeed a radical group hell-bent on transforming the United States into one gigantic “Green Cult,” and they don’t care who it harms or how many people lose their jobs in the process. It’s GREEN or nothing for these climate nuts."

The truth about banning gas stoves is, the US needs to export Natural Gas to Europe to undermine Russian gas exports.

Europe will be facing a massive shortage in 2023 due to the war in Ukraine.

The US has boosted LNG gas exports to Europe by 130% and they’re making hundreds of millions on the desperate European market. So suddenly, out of nowhere, the US government remembers that gas stoves pose a health risk.

Or maybe here in the Really-Real World the study was completed, they confirmed their results, and published the paper.

Because not everything is a conspiracy.

Brand new research shows that 12.7% of current childhood cases of the disease across the United States directly to gas stove use. Yet about 6 million children aged 17 and under have asthma, meaning that's over 760,000 children have caught asthma just from gas stove tops according to my calculations from the calculator. And that's the US alone.

That's more children that got asthma from gas stoves than the population of Macao.

I don't think there is research by percentage of what causes Asthma but what I do know is that the likely factors of children developing asthma would include...

• Exposure to tobacco smoke, including before birth
• Previous allergic reactions, including skin reactions, food allergies or hay fever (allergic rhinitis)
• A family history of asthma or allergies
• Living in an area with high pollution
• Obesity

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/childhood-asthma/symptoms-causes/syc-20351507

But yes there are factors that we do know that causes asthma but it's not known by percentage.

Building materials perhaps? How do we remedy asthma caused by living in houses? Allergies? How do we remedy asthma caused by trees?

So. How many of those kids that you 'calculated for' are only-children?

I bet it was 100%.

The average number of children per family in the US is just under 2.

So. What happens when you 'calculate' again with 2 kids per household?

And how did you control for houses with electric stoves? How did you compare them with houses with gas stoves?

Because it looks like you just did an "x-y= they're lying" kind of thing.

"So. How many of those kids that you 'calculated for' are only-children?"

So there are about 6 million children aged 17 and under from the US alone have asthma, which is 1 in 12 children, and if you calculate the following...

6,000,000 ÷ 100 x 12.7
= 60,000 x 12.7
= 762,000

There was an estimate of 762,000 children who got asthma from gas stoves, however there is no research on the exact amount of children that have asthma from gas stove houses. It's just easier to remember that 12.7% of current childhood cases of the disease across the United States directly to gas stove use.

"I bet it was 100%."

What do you mean by that?

"The average number of children per family in the US is just under 2.

So. What happens when you 'calculate' again with 2 kids per household?"

So that'll mean it would be OVER 380,000 families that have gas stoves that children that are asthmatics from gas stoves (I only just gave you the absolute minimum but again, I don't think there is research into how many families have gas stoves that cause asthma).

"And how did you control for houses with electric stoves?"

Not sure.

"How did you compare them with houses with gas stoves?"

I reckon electric stoves are far safer than gas stoves as if you use the logic of comparing electric heaters to gas heaters, "health experts... recommend electric heating, such as hydronic or radiant heaters, as they do not release emissions into the interior air."

https://asthma.org.au/blog/with-winter-comes-wood-fires/

"Because it looks like you just did an "x-y= they're lying" kind of thing."

Well actually my calculations calculated more than what yahoo news actually reported...

And your singular personal experience invalidates theirs?

If you've never been to Chicago, does that mean Chicago doesn't exist?
0 ups, 3y
It's not that I invalidate their personal experience, it is that their personal experience does not invalidate mine, nor should another's personal experience infringe upon my ability to enjoy the use of natural gas appliances.

Regarding Chicago, millions of people have had bad experiences there with lifelong physiological and psychological effects; therefore, Chicago should no longer exist so that no one else ever has to suffer a similar fate.

We would improve the lives, health, and well being of a far greater number of people if Chicago was obliterated from existence. But I am not advocating this because it is ridiculous.

If natural gas makes you sick simply do not use it. If it does not make you ill, or if the benefits outweigh the risks in your mind, feel free to do so. That is liberty - an exercise in freedom.

Being said, what's your view on climate activists that utilize motor vehicles, EVs, planes, have cell phones, wear clothes (whether synthetic or natural fiber), eat nuts, eat vegetables, eat meat, live in buildings, cross bridges, own appliances, use heating and air conditioning, and exhale (~4% CO2) ?

The 'ban gas stoves freak-out' started because the conservative freak-out engine needed fuel to keep the freak-out going.

It's just that.

I feel bad for you that you think getting rid of something that's clearly bad for your kids health is considered "Green Cult" for you.

It's just weird.

Why is having something that pollutes the air you breath a thing you want to hang on to?

It's just like the filament lightbulb thing. Y'all freaked out over that too.
