It's not that I invalidate their personal experience, it is that their personal experience does not invalidate mine, nor should another's personal experience infringe upon my ability to enjoy the use of natural gas appliances.
Regarding Chicago, millions of people have had bad experiences there with lifelong physiological and psychological effects; therefore, Chicago should no longer exist so that no one else ever has to suffer a similar fate.
We would improve the lives, health, and well being of a far greater number of people if Chicago was obliterated from existence. But I am not advocating this because it is ridiculous.
If natural gas makes you sick simply do not use it. If it does not make you ill, or if the benefits outweigh the risks in your mind, feel free to do so. That is liberty - an exercise in freedom.
Being said, what's your view on climate activists that utilize motor vehicles, EVs, planes, have cell phones, wear clothes (whether synthetic or natural fiber), eat nuts, eat vegetables, eat meat, live in buildings, cross bridges, own appliances, use heating and air conditioning, and exhale (~4% CO2) ?
