Almost all abused people tell someone else, before they "call a cop." Abusers are typically in positions of importance. Threats are not uncommon, and many convince their victims that no one will believe them. That is why teachers, including coaches, are "mandated reporters." That means, by law, Jordon was supposed to report to the cops the dozens of cases people said they took to him. In a perfect world they would be brave enough to call the cops. In a perfect world, there would be no abusers, or people who cover up for abusers, or people who make excuses for politicians who cover up for abusers.
