It's not that I'm offended so much as I'm surprised that some people think that men are all lazy bums who do nothing but sit around and watch TV. I can't deny that some are, but that doesn’t put every single man under the same category, it's the common problem of stereotypicalising everyone.
It's the same thing as "dumb blondes" or "moody teenagers" none of these things apply to all people of that category.
