For some context before I actually start it was based off of this post from drm

Okuto is one of the few insane beings that the collector truly feels bad for, so as soon as he saw this he immediately had a plan

Step one: he snuck some nanobots onto her so he could get an idea of exactly how f'd up her brain is

After a few days he commanded the nanobots to fly back to him to send all the data back, and it was far worse than he expected

Entire sections of her brain would turn off randomly, this seemed to be whenever she goes full sicko mode

So instead of technology the key was a bit closer to magic

Step two: using the data he gained from the nanobots he began to craft a device that harnesses the power of a mind stone to help stabilize her mind, hopefully with enough time it could fully heal her and she'd no longer need it

However that was easier said than done.

Collector was not very confident in the little knowledge he had on sanitization, so he knew it would need some type of failsafe

So, if she somehow enters sicko mode while the device is on her, and she begins tearing it apart, it will automatically destroy the mind stone inside. Let's just say an insane octoling with an infinity stone isn't a very good thing

This must have been pretty damn hard, since the human (or octiling I guess) brain is the most complicated thing in the known universe

They're pretty close so yeah

The brain part wasn't what the collector was worried about though, okuto/401 is partly sanitized which is why she's insane, collector knows almost nothing about sanitization

sanitization? Like hand sanitizer?

You clearly haven't played the octo expansion dlc.

In short form, sanitization basically makes inklings or octolings into zombies.

Okuto wasn't completely sanitized but she still went insane

Step three: finished prototype

The collector knew just having some data gained from her brain wouldn't be enough to make it perfect, so without actual testing he couldn't be sure how effective it would be

So he left it very accessible so he could quickly make adjustments

All that was left to do was give it to her

She was quite confused when the collector handed it to her, but he was quick to explain what it was

She put it on and...

It worked instantly! She no longer had murder on her mind, and didn't enter sicko mode throughout the whole day, collector kept a close eye on her and the device was constantly sending information to him in case of any malfunctions

Later in the day she gave the collector her gift, however she was hesitant to give it to him now that she could think straight

It was a bloody knife

She claimed it was trollface's blood, he is the only person the collector would actually WANT her to kill. But since he was at redi's Christmas party she clearly didn't finish the job

Okuto was relieved that the collector wasn't mad, and the party went well after that

Inkmatas was impressed that okuto was actually acting normal, and was happy to hear her apologizing for the horrible things she's done
