LOL! I remember the HUGE debate on whether Hisoka is male or female. Eventually the mangaka had to step in and set the record straight.

The problem was the voice for both Japanese and English anime. While females voicing young male characters is not unusual, the voices for Hisoka was way too effeminate which led to a massive amount of confusion.
