My Mother died from Liver Cancer and was a teetotaler. In my side work on "game shows," in the 1980's I met a young Canadian actor who was a frequent guest star. He rode a bike everywhere. One of the production crew said it was because he was a heavy drinker and did not want to get DUIs. He developed Parkinson's at a young age. I did not say that alcohol was the only cause. But it can damage or worsen neurotransmission associated with the development of the disease.
