These “trading cards” don’t actually hurt anyone, they’re just stupid and show how tawdry Trump and his supporters really are.

I contend it hurts somebody. Taking money from the vulnerable, unintelligent and gullible. If he still wielded power you could call it a stupid tax.

I think it’s a conflict between the hard-core, committed, and dare I say “intellectual” Trumpers (to the extent that description could possibly apply) vs. the casual Trump carnival-goers who are just driving by to “own the libz.” That latter group would eat something like this up.

Steve Bannon and that guy who calls himself Baked Alaska, who rioted on Jan. 6 and is literally going to prison for Trump, are absolutely furious over it.

On the other hand, as you say, these NFTs did sell out. But: to whom? I haven’t heard or read a single thing about these notional purchasers. Did Trump buy them all himself?
