It makes sense. I mean, Musk had to be forced to buy Twitter to begin with. He had some batty ideas, but none of them are working.
He's losing money left and right on Twitter. Worse, every single day he spends as Chief Twit causes another quantum of damage to his personal brand as a CEO, which is dragging down his other companies too.
Can't tell you how many outraged liberals I've seen posting about how they're never buying a Tesla over Musk's crap this year.
And that's before you get to the sheer logistics of how the hell someone like Musk is supposed to divvy up his days with everything he's put on his own plate.
This should have happened yesterday. This should have never happened to begin with, honestly. A "poll" gives him a little bit of face-saving cover, but I can't imagine putting out a poll like this if he hasn't already made the decision to step down.
