No, but it might be influenza. Apparently, kids younger than 5 get hospitalized by it. My sister is older than that, but around that age, so she could still be hospitalized. Which she did.

I really hope she'll be okay. Do you have any idea what it is? covid? something specific to her? (it's fine if that's too personal - I understand, I'm just worried)

I'm not entirely sure, but all I know is that she has a high fever, maybe way too high, and she's vomiting a lot. I asked my mom a few minutes ago and she said that the hospital staff were conducting blood tests on her. I might as well just pray to God she recovers...

It's probably the flu, children younger than the age of 6 have around a %65 chance to survive sever influenza. Just pray to God.

Well, I looked it up, and it appears to be influenza, although it said nothing about the percentage. The article said that kids younger than 5 get hospitalized from it. So my sister's practically near that age range.

So, because of modern medicine, she should be fine, and you shouldn't get sick because your immune system is more developed.

It has all the signs of influenza.

I just lookedit up, and RSV is a mild disease, but in young children a d elderly, it's much more severe.
