if you don't mind me asking- what disease is going around? I got sick recently (sneezing, coughs that hurt my chest, mucus everywhere, sore throat) and I never figured out what it is.

I don't know what it is, I just know everyone's getting it- heck, I got it, and I infected everyone in my house. It seems to be a one-week cold, extremely contagious, but more annoying than anything. I had your exact same symptoms. Another tip, spit out all the mucus you might cough up, otherwise it'll just get stuck again.

yeah, I got it around 5 days ago and it's slowly going away. It's really weird- for me it hasn't been contagious though. My mother hung out with me a lot to make sure i was alright and she has had nothing- I also share a room with my bro and he's fine.

I may have gotten it from an irl friend of mine though- he's had a nasty cough for a while and that mightve been it. Ty for the info tho^^

No problem! Your family may have naturally strong immune systems, and you just got unlucky. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I won't claim to know what I'm talking about, these are just the symptoms I had, and the things that worked for me. The cough lasts for about another week afterwards, but is way less severe. Hope you get over it soon!

yeah, that seems correct bc I don't sneeze but I still have a bad cough.

The cough should ease up soon, but it'll stay for a while. I actually still have a cough, and it's been a week...

it's not covid- I took 2 tests 2 days apart that both came out negative

I've also been sick. This virus has been DOMINATING recently. It's neither covid or the flu. (also, flu A has been TERRIBLE.) I'm sick right now, I've got a cough and have had a sore throat for 2 days.
