Technically, it's not upvote begging. They're just saying that if it somehow gets 10 upvotes, it gets a part 4. They never ASKED if they could have upvotes, only commented of a reward if they chose to.
It’s actually because I can’t tell if you guys are interested without some kind of sign. When online, you’re pretty limited when it comes to showing interest, so upvotes are a good way to do so.
