It seems that, too often, we as a society have allowed people who are weirdly talented at one specific thing (music, sports, the simple ability to command a camera's attention), and who have acquired a measure of fame through pursuit of those activities, to dictate our political agenda, or at least our 24-hour news cycles. But what qualifies Kanye West, exactly, to speak on literally any political subject? Perhaps we are due for a social movement to correct the errors of having allowed our reserves of attention and focus to be siphoned off by such know-nothings, grifters, and pied pipers. This is why I proudly consider myself a part of the growing philosophy known as Yeophobia.
