Make sure you turn off “notify me when anyone comments on an image I already commented in”… then it should not give you anymore notifications when someone comments on the image that you commented on without replying to you… and how it works is, when you comment other peoples memes, you get the notification on that meme…

I appreciate the tip, but I'm having the exact opposite problem. I have that box checked and I want notifs when people reply to comments that aren't mine (on my memes), but I'm not getting them. (I do get notifs when people reply to comments that aren't mine on everyone else's memes.)

I can see why people in the ms_memer stream wouldn't want that, but I would find it helpful because I suck and nobody likes me, but I still want to see what they're saying. 😋

Which is fine so long as they describe stuff accurately. If misrepresenting the functionality of a feature is part of how they want to run the site then they're being trolls.

Just how that feature works. If I were you I'd turn it off or you'll get like 200 notifications a day

If you were me and you turned that on, you'd probably get an extra 3 notifs each week.
