You all passed the Troll Test. The headline is that the cost of a gallon of gas is down, once again. This time it is below the cost of gas before the Invasion of Ukraine. The other stuff was fluff, I threw in, just to see where you would focus.
Gas pumps were first installed in1905. The following is the best answer I could find, from "Answers," online, concerning the cost of gas then:
"Gasoline as we know it was a waste product that long ago, automobile engines were run on kerosene. From my research I am pretty sure 1905 and thereafter is when gasoline was the fuel to run automobiles.
A relative told me that the price of gas in the early to mid 1900's was around 10 cents per gallon. "
Gas prices were depressed by COVID-19 related decrease in demand worldwide. They fell to about $2.20 per gallon. But gas topped out at over $6-a gallon or more after people got vaccinated in 2021 and Russia invaded. I should have written "1920s-2020s," but I thought most people would not split hairs. I was wrong. Some people will do anything to not admit that things are improving.
