I think it would go differently, unlike your silly device this actually looks at alternate timelines, and what I'm seeing is far different from what that's showing

In some I listen to you, and the multiverse is destroyed, in others I listen to you and it is saved

In some I killed you and it's destroyed, and in others I kill you and it's saved

However for this timeline, I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise

Collector: well... I don't think you understand the multiverse, you see, the multiverse is infinite. You cannot ensure control over infinity

Sure the machines will help but you're not seeing the bigger picture

It's better to enjoy the multiverse in chaos than to waste your time trying to make peace

Fine. Let's see how that went

*The diamond projects a hologram of what the collector sees*

First timeline, they all crash and burn.

Second timeline, one manages to take off but the multiverse is already an infinitely large area to cover so it never truly achieves it's goal

Third timeline. They all take off but experience the same problem.

I think you're starting to see the pattern here.

Fourth timeline. It gets further but this time the citadel gets worried about the sudden appearance of these machines and activates the defense systems

This one reveals another problem with your machines, if a single one is destroyed it sets off a chain reaction that destroys all of them

Fifth timeline. They turn against you, instead of bringing peace to as much area as possible they destroy every universe they enter, not a problem for powerful beings like me but sends most civilizations back to the stone age.

Timelines beyond that all end in a similar way
