People hate furries because they seem weird and they're the odd ones out. As a former furry hater, I can see why they hate.

I think it's because they have seen the bad side of the community (via zoophiles, etc) and cringe, and they associate all of the furry community with it. I'm not a furry nor anti but I joined both streams sooo
