Being that we've entered an era of informational nihilism, it's impossible to know. I tested positive after feeling like I had a cold forna few days, then took paxlovid for 5 days and felt fine, tested negative 3 days into it. My wife tested positive about 5 days after I did, felt like hell and literally couldn't stop coughing, took 2 doses of paxlovid and damn near needed to be hospitalized, then spent the next 2 weeks gradually recovering. That's all the empirical evidence I have. Everything else is finger-pointing. Kind of like 10 different religions each claiming the other 9 are false faiths, and my secular ass concluding that they're all full of shit. Eh, this too shall pass.
