I am not advocating the abolition of the electoral vote. The common arguments to keep it just don’t make any sense.

Then let people vote and not states.

I fail to understand why the individual vote isn’t equal.

Large populations will dictate everything & small states will have no say.

Because the majority getting ruled by a minority of the population - one that inhabits leftover areas whose people are moving out in droves, leaving behind only those who are stuck in these places with no notable importance or impact other than providing new Walmart customers as their own businesses can't be sustained by their ghost town economies - is so much better?

So rural areas have yet another way of being overrepresented now by the illegal aliens who work their chief industries of farms and meat packing plants, etc?
