maybe because most Americans haven't had to think about inflation. but, there are still Americans that were alive in the 70s. Sorry your covid plan didn't kill us all off just yet.

Exactly. And just because I don't use words like "photosynthesis" and "meteorology" in typical everyday conversation does not mean I am too ignorant to know what they mean. Reid is really trying to make us believe we are stupid.
The word "inflation" is not a part of the normal lexicon of Americans; and people using the term only learned it from right-wing political operatives! That's racist!
