You are aware that there was no federal income tax prior to 1913 aren't you? There was an income tax for a few years following the Civil War but it had a time limit set and it ended.

So if that is the case then how did our government support itself prior to 1913?

Here is the concept that you are missing. If I work for someone else with the understanding that my work will be compensated with goods, services and/or money then that compensation belongs to me, no one else. I worked for it, I earned it.

The government didn't earn that money, they just take it by force.

Roads, bridges and public infrastructure are the responsibility of the state and/or private citizen. Interstate highways are also maintained by the states they pass through with Federal dollars helping.

Roads, and infrastructure prior to 1913 was mostly paid for with private money. Railroad tracks were mostly paid for with private money. The only thing stopping private citizens from building and maintaining roads is the government.

Not to mention every time a Democrat talks about our "crumbling infrastructure" that it is a lie. The same with "we must all pay our fair share". It is just an excuse to waste more of the money they steal from us.

That definition of anarchy is Antifa's definition. Anarchy means no government. It can mean lawlessness but not in all cases. Taxes prior to 1913 were imposed by the individual States, NOT the federal government. States mostly taxed property, not income.

Also when that control freak, Woodrow Wilson, imposed an income tax on us, it was never about funding the government. From day 1 it was about controlling the people. People are mislead into believing is about roads, bridges, police, fire departments, etc. But those things are paid for by the state.

Federal money does go into the military but look how much of that has been mishandled. The biggest tax grab is for unfunded mandates. Welfare, social security, medicare, are the big 3 in that group. There's also spending money on studies that try to figure out why rope, cords, cables, etc always get tangled. It also goes to promote transgenderism in Peru (or some South American country, I don't remember). Yes, and those studies don't cost much but when all of them are combined it's enormous and a complete waste of yours and my money. Money that could be used to replace my junky car with a newer one. Money that could be used to buy a house. Money that could used to put food on the table. Money that could be used to stop someone from getting evicted.
