Although spiders and silverfish exist IRL, *giant* spiders and *giant* silverfish are the stuff of fantasy. Since 1 block = 1 meter, a spider in Minecraft has a wingspan of like 2 meters, and a silverfish in Minecraft is almost a whole meter long.
