To "solve" the edit comment issue, a Mod or Owner(Including the site mods and Dev's) can see the comment's edit history.

But if you think about it, the more it's demanded, the more it will be ignored, which is ONE of the reasons Group Memechats were shot down. And even IF group memechats WERE to be implimented in the site, there would still be a lot of issues with it. Sure, you can create G.M(Group Memechat) invites and send it to those that were ALREADY in your memechat, it would mean that people would be more active THERE instead of the 1 person only memechats.

Then comes the idea from someone else about being able to ping. notifications should only allow 1 NOTIFICATION ABOUT THE PINGING unlike Discord which gives 1+ NOTIFICATION FOR EVERYTIME YOU'RE PINGED. G.M's should be like this as well(if they were to exist) and only give 1 notification instead of HEAPS at one time. If pinging becomes spammy(like it obviously would) there should be a stream setting to turn it off.

And with the Edit Comment button... just more harm than good. I honestly prefer PINNING comments rather than being able to edit them.

I've also started to see people slowly wanting Custom Uploadable Icons.
If they are, here are rules behind them(Please note these are personal ideas)

1. They should be reportable(if users think it's something else, and should state a reason why)_

2. Site Mod/Global Mod approved

3. Should require at least 30 days, 15-20 000k points to access

4. Small image icons are free & medium for Pro Basic and Pro

5. Everyone should be able to see the icon, regardless of points

If people start wanting icons for STREAMS, the same rules apply except rule 3 is different. Like the Head Owner idea, only THEY can change the icon instead of Owners. However if Head Owner's aren't gonna happen, then only an Owner(Selected by a Site Mod or Global Mod) can change the icon.

Everything else should stay the same.

The edit comment idea is straight-up terrible once you think about it. mfs on YouTube and Reddit comments constantly add "eDiT: tHaNkS fOr ThE lIkEs" or "eDiT: tHaNkS fOr ThE gOlD kInD sTrAnGeR!" to their comments. This would get annoying real quick if this feature were to be added on imgflip

It’s not just that, it’s hard to prove exactly what people said during arguments which would lead to confusion when handing out bans. That’s why I already document as much as I can due to the deletions alone.

Yeah that also happens, I saw some guy edit his comment with 40 downvotes on Reddit to "Racism is bad"

Just here I got into a fight with a crusader since they were being a hypocrite (they posted some near nsfw image of a demon, and when I say that I mean they were literally nearly naked). Dude’s name was GoldCrusade and I had decide to tell the Crusader’s stream about it since he was also a crusader and we had fought earlier over a different issue. So I screenshotted and reposted the image asking if he was a crusader or not still. So let the arguments begin, and after a couple of days, I told him I already alerted the crusaders and even had screenshots of the argument up. He thought I was bluffing so I linked him to the image. Literally moments later, he deleted his own image, went around lying and saying it wasn’t him after his own f**king argument with me that other people also jumped in for. And then he changed his name and tried to play dumb. Finally I got reported for harassment since the whole thing played out longer than it should have and it was harassment as soon as he deleted the image. But he kept going and wouldn’t even admit to being in the wrong. It was wrong for me to continue but he wanted me to take every single image of evidence I had in him down.

I've had a run-in with that person and they kept getting me comment banned over and over, and wouldn't admit to flagging my comments. I knew they were.

However it was a topic about Furries, so all the shit went down. I'm not even a furry anymore, and I'm 50/50 with them, but they pissed me off to the point I left the entire arguement all together and blocked them. Not dealing with the f**ker's shit ever again.
