That honestly did make me LOL, Dan! I am hoping you are correct on the midterms as you usually are right. The only way they will win is if they cheat again. I mean most Americans are NOT AS STUPID as Dems think...open borders, crime, inflation speak volumes to rational Americans (just not Democrats). Still no kitty, but getting one is still high on my plans list. Getting settled in my new digs has taken longer than expected for several reasons, so I'm holding off until I'm more organized before bringing in a furry friend. Should'nt be too much longer though. Thanks for remembering & asking vB. I think my imgflip friends probably know me better than my own family members! Godbless you.

Yes, moving is a huge disruption in life and agree it is best to get settled in before adding more to your 'To Do' list. I have recently learned that the black & white cats (tuxedo cats I think they are called) are extremely affectionate. Knowing you from online, Dan, makes me think you would enjoy this type of cat as some are very aloof and distant. Any cat would be very lucky to have you but thought I would mention that one type as being a consideration.

Good luck but don't feel forced to take on more responsibility until you are ready. After our 15 year old dog died, we decided to not replace him as we had had pets practically since day one of our marriage. It would just break our hearts (again) so opted against it. Anyway, glad the worst part of moving is over for you and wish you the best in motivation vibes to getting things organized (not an easy task). :)

You're right vB, I had once had a tuxedo cat, and she was a great companion. I also had a calico cat (multi-colored) long ago who was very friendly. People have told me "Maine coon" cats also make excellent pets- it's bound to be a difficult choice- will keep you posted.Sorry to hear about your dog. I never had a pet who lived that long, so in that you were fortunate. Maybe in time you'll consider another pet. Maybe a cat, since they usually don't require as much care as a dog?
