Living in a competitive district... yes. yes they do bring up abortion as soon as they start to lose another issue (which is quite often, as the Republican in my district sent out one mailout ad- ONE- and almost instantly all of the "i'M BiParTisAN" ads from the Dem stopped. So did their "i'M wOrKInG tO rEDUce InfLatiON" ads.)

the truth is that Latino voters weren't Democratic voters to begin with. The vast majority of Latino voters are Catholics, who strongly oppose abortion and the LGBTQIA+ community. These types of "news" articles that come out before the election (at least since 2016) is really only news to the Democrat politicians, who assume based on their clear racism, that just because Latinos are "non-white", that they must be poor and dumb and want help from the government.
