Yeah, probably, but on the other hand his ego might overrule everything else. His desire for one last shot at the spotlight might prove irresistable.

HIs desire to not go to prison and to listen to lawyers who will adivise him not to will outweigh that.
Remember, he was all too eager to testify at his first impeachement as well till he was called to do so.
