The left failed to realize the largest group in our military were conservative Christians. At least by birth, believer or not, many had generations of service in their families and held a real connection to this country. When they suddenly saw themselves demonized, mocked and in some cases hated they remembered that Christians were brought up to expect persecution and to know that no man was a god like figure, the blindly obeying the left was never going to take. The response from the woke leadership was predictable, force them all out. Now we have a huge gap in our ranks with no large groups willing to replace what was lost. That lost generation will never return to serve; they are out breaking what could have been further generations of service.
I have been talking people out of serving for years, I made my decision to leave when an O6 was openly mocking Christians and no one in the room cared. There is nothing in our current military worthy of serving or protecting. I think our law enforcement is facing similar issues and will continue to decline in numbers, followed by all the other 1st responders, without police protection on site no firefighter, paramedics or even lineman will enter what has become urban warzones.
This empires fate is sealed, it will fall, how and who helps it along doesn't really matter.
