Chicago Federal Reserve President Charles Evans said the central bank is holding fast in its commitment to bring down inflation even if it means people losing their jobs.

True, Jerome Powell^ is raising the FED interest rate.. to increase unemployment.. to lower consumer demand.. and therefore lower inflation.

However it's not working very well. That's why when last month's unemployment numbers came in and unemployment had actually gone down..... the stock market tanked ~300 points on the news.

And if you want to play the Biden/Trump game... Powell was Trump's guy. He appointed him. If you want to blame Biden for not firing him ok. Maybe we would've been better off if Biden had fired him. But on the other hand maybe "changing horses midstream" would have made us worse off.... Hard to say. I often ask people what they think..... Like... Fire him or nah.... but usually people's answer's are vague.
