I would go back in time to stop my parents being sold

I kinda imagine this as the character talking to the writer, maybe we exist just outside of the story

However he'd reconsider the moment he goes back because changing main parts of the timeline goes against laws of time travel

Meaning now the time police are gonna be chasing him

So instead he'd make it easier for main events to happen, such as switch hood helping you escape the octerians

And the collector wouldn't have to deal with a nexus point (an event that has to happen that only beings that have mastered time can change) however you can only find a nexus point if you try to change it so maybe that part didn't need to happen

However if you're trying to stop a nexus point they don't stop you because they acknowledge the strength of them and know that if you can stop it then you truly understand time
