The comment you just made indicates your shocking ignorance of the subject. The amount of student debt that is crushing young people today is enormous. Unconscionable.
It wasn't like this back in the day. Starting out life this far in the red absolutely crushes dreams. It absolutely defers or derails entirely major life goals, like starting a business, like buying a house, like getting married, like having kids.
(An aside - Wanna increase the birth rate? Don't ban abortion - give young people good jobs, financial stability, and a reason to actually hope for the future. Then this generation will have way more births than if you start putting guns to women's wombs telling them to deliver-or-else. Anyway)
Given the scope of the student debt disaster, $10,000 debt relief - capped by income, mind you, so high-earning doctors and lawyers aren't getting it - is really the bare minimum that should be done.
Biden did the bare minimum.
Now - there should *also* be comprehensive, far-reaching reform of the student debt industry - just like there should be comprehensive reform of multiple sectors of the economy. But at this juncture, Congress as a whole - counting the Republicans, who have all but abandoned college-educated Americans, and show as much sensitivity to this issue as you do - isn't interested.
So yes, please impeach Biden over this. Nothing could more clearly show the contrast between a party that favors an educated America, and one that doesn't.
