If they made Mulan black, these people would be outraged.
If they made Jasmine black, these people would be outraged.
If they made Pocahontas black, these people would be outraged.

It’s only okay when they make a white princess black for some reason.

Pocahontas was a real person, and she was Native American. If they wanted to they could retail the story with a black main character but it wouldn't be Pocahontas herself

A) if you want good re-told fairy tales with diverse characters, Happily Ever After did it 20-30 years ago. No fuss was made over that.

B) I don't understand why Disney doesn't actually look to other regions of the world for diverse fairy tales. It's not like they were dead accurate with the European ones (I'll semi-count The Jungle Book since Kipling was educated in England)
