Japan got a free ride after the war, because the USA felt guilty about nuking em.
So while China, Korea etcetera were on their own to fix what Japan broke, Japan got a totally free restoration on the US dime.
This led to huge economic and societal boom. Eventually Japan became a top world economy with gold standard brands like Lexus & Sony that are desired all over the world.
So you can thank the nuclear bomb for Japanese culture being popular outside of Japan.
