Except that this is the sort of thing that people are complaining about and it’s gotten much worse over the past few years. Not to mention that yes, it is people on the left that are pushing for this and it is primarily people on the right who are pushing back against it. You can point at the Church and the issues they have had and I very much agree they have some serious issues with that, but I have yet to find a person on the right who defends those acts.

True, but again, the vast majority of people on the left don't support sexualizing children. And back to the meme itself, plenty of conservative religious people (esp Christians and Muslims) do support child/underage marriages.

They usually don't defend those acts openly, of course

Other Western Civilized countries have adopted the practice in teaching kids about sex, sexual anatomy, etc at an earlier age so that they're fully aware what is being happened to them in the event of being assaulted. This way, they can feel more comfortable and confident in describing to the police what happened and be able to communicate fully instead of using child language that could easily be misinterpreted or coached, leading to a false accusation. As such, children are far less likely to be assaulted when they are armed with knowledge when they understand boundaries and why those boundaries are important.

But the right wing would rather keep them in ignorance for obvious reasons.
