You're correct, weather is daily changes to the atmosphere, seasonal changes occur every few months and climates can change every 30 years or so. How is saying climate change will be back next summer make sense?

It doesn't, it's poorly worded. They probably meant that the effects of rising temperatures will be back next summer (the hottest 10 summers on record have mostly been in the 21st century, and the trend will likely continue)

Wouldn't climate change also effect winters, like if extreme temperatures is an effect shouldn't it also be colder than normal? Or do they just mean global warming which would mean overall warmer temperatures year round, which I'm not sure that's true.

The climate change consequences would affect winter weather too, I'm sure

And it was chilled this June and cooler compared to last year (although it snowed once)

Wait ... What? Does CNN know about the Southern Hemisphere? If we're ending climate change until next summer then it is NOT global. Perhaps CNN is ran by flat earthers.

So now our seasons are Fall, Winter, Spring and Climate Change.
